Looking for love? Read this post

Dating used to be simple. Boy meets girl, boy likes girl, boy asks girl on a date. These days, we’re time-poor, we’re working from home, and we’re always on our phones. The dating landscape has changed, and many people are finding it almost impossible to find love.
Here are some top tips if you’re looking for love:
Get out of the house
If you’re hoping to meet someone new, you’re unlikely to meet them if you’re spending every Friday night eating Thai food on your couch. Instead, you need to get out and head to the types of places where you’ll find the types of men or women you’re looking for. This is unlikely to be bars with beer pong tables and beers for $1. Instead, consider the age of the person you’re hoping for.
If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. These day, it simply makes sense to have a presence online or on an app if you’re trying to find love. It doesn’t necessarily have to be Tinder- there are websites and apps for all ages, religions, interests, and more. Just make sure you do more than swipe- make an effort to actually get to know some people and set aside a few days a week to meet up with some of the people you’re chatting to. At the very least, you may end up with some new friends.
Sometimes you meet the right person when you stop looking so hard for them. The love of your life may not be in your neighborhood. They may not even be in your city. Why not try a holiday for singles? These holidays are not dating or romanced focused, but a good way to meet other single people in a relaxed way and you could meet someone that you really get on with. At the very least, you’ll be surrounded by a bunch of fun people where there are no couples to make things awkward.
Put the word out
So many people meet the love of their lives through people they know. That’s why it’s a good idea to let your friends and family members know that you’re looking for love. If you have coupled-up friends, they’ll often be too happy to set up a blind date or double-date or introduce you to a single friend, and this can be a great option as they already know the kind of people you like and get on well with.
