Ryan Emmons is the co-founder of Waikea Hawaiian volcanic Water. The company started in 2012, and it has grown by 4,000 percent within the past three years. The company has gone from selling 2,304 bottles of water per year to 122,304 cases of water per year.

The water comes from the Mauna Loa volcano. The water is rich in potassium, magnesium and calcium. All of these minerals are good for your skin, hair and nails. The Waiakea water PH ranges from 7.6 to 8.2, which makes it alkaline. The Waiakea water PH can help balance the fluids in the body. Waiakea water may also be helpful for treating conditions like acid relux and osteoporosis.

Not only does Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water provide people with refreshing water, but it also supports a good cause. Six-hundred and five ML of water are donated to Pump Aid for every bottle is sold. Pump Aid is an organization that supplies underprivileged companies with water.

The water is also bottled in an eco-friendly way. It takes 85 percent less energy to manufacture a Waiakea bottle than a traditional water bottle. Ryan believes that the company’s motto is the reason that it is such a success. Their motto is drink healthy, drink sustainably and drink ethically.

Ryan is a native of Santa Barbara, California. He started working on this project while he was a student at the University of Southern California’s School of Business. He worked on the project along with Matt Meyer. Because the company is growing so rapidly, they will be adding a new manufacturing facility soon.

Ryan and Matt also make sure that their water is affordable for everyone. One half-liter of Waiakea helps cost $1.79. A full liter costs $2.79. Ryan stated that the taste is not what makes the water unique. The texture of the water is what many people enjoy.
